Here are the specs of the video: It is also a full length movie, but only converts about the first 3:30 of it, so if anyone knows why this happens please let me know how to fix it. It is exceptional in converting videos between multiple formats, including MPEG, VOB, AVI, MOV, and more. But I am trying to put the video into final Cut Pro so I can do some editing to it. MPEG Streamclip is a dynamic video conversion software well acclaimed for its capability to handle a broad range of video formats and execute a variety of editing tasks. Then repeat the process to create additional clips from the same footage.I am having the same issue with no video when I use mpeg stream to convert my avi to a dv file. Then use FILE/Export Using QuickTIme as before and name this clip. Then movie the playhead to the end of the clip, and press O to set the "Out" point. I then open that file inside iTunes and BAM - All Done. But then, you create a clip by moving the playhead to the beginning of the clip and pressing I to set the "In" point. My concept is similar to being paperless only disc-less So here is my work flow: Pop in a DVD Movie (Spiderman 3) Use Mac the Ripper (Creates a folder on my Desktop) Use MPEG Streamclip to open that file and then use the 'Standard' settings to convert to a Apple TV 720p HD file. If you want to create smaller clips from your VOB files, or divide the VOB files into logical events, you drag them into MPEG Streamclip as before. I recommend Apple Intermediate Codec, which produces excellent results with slightly smaller file sizes the DV stream - but DV Stream will work fine, too. Now you can use FILE/EXPORT USING QUICKTIME to convert the VOB files to a codec that is supported by imovie. I downloaded the older version of MPEG Streamclip and it has the same problem. This is my home-computer, which is much newer. Even I have no problem with it when I use my work-computer. If it offers to fix timecode breaks, say yes. And my searches all indicate that everyone else seems to have no problem with Apple ProRess on MPEG Streamclip. To use MPEG Streamclip, drag the VOB files into the MPEG Streamclip window. MPEG Streamclip will use it behind the scenes. This component will install on you system and you can forget about it. As Kirk said, you need the $20 QuickTime Component.
